FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Sessions are 60 minutes.

Most clients start with weekly sessions — this tends to build momentum early on. From there, we can adjust the frequency together based on what’s working best for you.

Both. In-person sessions take place at my office at 818 NW 17th St, Portland, OR 97209. Virtual sessions are also available if that’s a better fit for your schedule or preference.

Yes. I’m in-network with Regence BCBS, Curative, PacificSource, Optum/UHC, Aetna, and Moda Health.

My private-pay rate is $200 for the initial clinical intake session and $180 for each 60-minute individual therapy session after that.

I don’t have a formal sliding scale, but I do hold two reduced-fee appointment times each week. Ask about availability if cost is a concern.

Yes — I can provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. You can let me know through the confidential client portal, by phone, email, or text.

Before we meet, I’ll send you an email through the confidential client portal with any paperwork you’ll need to complete ahead of time. That’s really all you need to do — just show up ready to talk.

You can reach me through the confidential client portal, by phone, email, or text. I aim to respond within 24 hours.

Please don’t wait for a callback or email reply — call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), go to your nearest emergency room, or call 911.

Your information is protected under HIPAA and applicable federal confidentiality laws. What you share stays private, with a few narrow legal exceptions I’ll review with you at the start of our work together.

There’s no fixed timeline. Ending therapy is usually tied to meeting the goals we set together, and it’s always something we’ll talk through as a team. You’re also welcome to raise it whenever you feel ready.
